HOME ZONE 3: EFFECTIVELY SUPERVISING BOREDOM

Introducing boredom as a tool of self expansion is revolutionary. Here effective supervision has its own unique role. It's particularly important to be alone, be silent, learn to observe things around, view them in all possible perspectives.....and most importantly watch your own self. Keeping a check on our thought process is a great skill.
If it is that being alone without books, TV or any gadget and without planning and thinking and worrying is even new to you....and you fear that you won't be able to lead kids into this....then there's a good news for you.
"Not in making them follow but in making them lead lies the secret of an effective supervision."
What you need to check on is that when you let a human enter silence.....new doors open up and now nothing can be scheduled or decided or limited. In this vastness the mind of this young sprout can go anywhere, to whatever extent and can generate enormous curiosity to learn and know. In this urge, they might want to experiment, experience or create something that might mandate some basic knowledge. So, you need to stay emotionally connected and permissible, ready with time and attention to answer if you know. If you don't know, partner her/him in finding the answers. Please do that with an open, scientific and logical mind that's not preoccupied with lame cultural statements. "That's what happens."
"World runs like this."
... and rotten stuff of that sort. Every WHY should either be answered or it's answer be sought after.
Let the gap between thought and action grow larger. Thought leads to impulsive curiosity and urges immediate action or experimentation.
This is where you can introduce step by step process.....thought, knowledge, analysis, curiosity, finding, judging the pros and cons, planning and then carefully executing it in steps and reflecting at every step!!!
Lead them into thought, contemplation and profound reflection. If this process of contemplation is instilled in the reflexes of the child, she/he is bound to shine....In any field.

Teaching the art of Reflection shall be considered in my next post, HOME ZONE 4

HOME ZONE 2: BOREDOM

Hi again...!
So no TV, no Phones, no I pad, no tabs.....
The big question remains.....THEN WHAT?
We need a replacement....because the KIDS ARE GETTING BORED.....!
We need to keep them busy and give them constructive options.
What is the solution to boredom....?
How to help children avoid getting bored...?

How much parents put in efforts to fill time and space of kids with some thing constructive......that adds to the personality of kids is beyond description. The zeal of an enthusiastic parenthood is at its peak in this era.

I just would like to bring to notice of all of you the most productive commodity of childhood.

In the nothingness lies the secret door to a world of creativity, thoughts, queries, self reflection, invention and discoveries.

In an age where every minute of our life is scheduled, where is the time to ponder, to wonder, to think, to feel , to observe, to analyse, to infer, to discover, to invent, to reflect upon the experiences, to acquire wisdom ?
All of this and more are the precious outcomes of what all parents want to avoid ......BOREDOM!
Wisdom is not legible in the pages of books, it's an outcome of keen observation of life and it's proactive reflection. It's the time devoted to self. It's the process of self healing.
Don't snatch away the most productive asset of this age ......BOREDOM. Let the young geniuses contemplate the mysteries of this universe all alone.

Boredom leaves time for self brain storming.
Now it's not for you to lecture all this to the kids. It's for you to understand it's importance.
Just slowly and steadily bring in the concept of spending time with self.

Newton was relaxing all alone under an apple tree, pondering and observing the apple fall...there is where the law of gravity comes!!!

Boredom is where thinkers are created.
Before you can make them love being with themselves....you need to know it's importance.
Don't fill their hours with the classes.
Leave some time to be bored!!!

This is just one important concept for parents.

No readymade solutions here. Only concepts and condiments!!! To help you make your own customised parenting recipe!!

To summarise:
1. Getting bored is counter productive so no need to find solutions of boredom for the kids.
2. Spending time with self, observing, analysing and thinking comes to an unoccupied brain.

Never the less, the kids need to be supervised and certain things be taught...
HOME ZONE 3 will come as a guide to effective supervision.

HOME ZONE 1

Parenting is like mathematics, you need to understand the fundamentals. There's no use of solving one particular problem for you.
Well, many parents are coming up and asking me how to keep their kids busy, what's the solution of their boredom, how to maintain our own peace tackling kids 24x7 and many more similar ones. HOME ZONE is going to be a serial blog for parents when their kids are at home at length.
I don't want to give you any ready made solutions for such questions, I want you to understand the fundamentals of parenting which will help you in taking your own decision and a customised one according to your own needs, family environment, practicality and situation. I want to empower you with the confidence and applicability so that you don't feel disabled or dependent in a situation that's similar but not the same.
It's not an easy pill. I'll make you use your mind and be creative.....I don't believe in giving ready made solutions that are just short cuts. And Short cuts lead to no success in long term.

The most luring thing to do and the easiest give in is to hand over the tiny little screen addivtive as cocain to the child, or simply turn on the idiot box (TV). And this is an absolute No No!!!

Wait for HOME ZONE 2 for furthering with this!!!!

RAISING TEENAGERS!

One should not raise teenagers. I say this because its just not that, that they need or want. Teenagers don't need to be raised! They need intensely, immensely and necessarily to feel responsible, capable and take their own decisions!!

If you ask me raising should stop the day they strike the footsteps of teen age (thirteenth birthday)!!

As a parent one must align our patterns of concern and behaviour to the needs of our children …one that increases the binding, that facilitates more learning and collaborative decision-making!!

If one tries to force our decisions, it wouldn't work to control situations! And being laid back just wouldn't work to control your heart rate!! The best strategy for parents is to play and display mannerisms and behaviour so that teenagers make you a part of their conspiracies and decision making!

It's an art that takes patience! It's also science and takes strategizing, calculations and planning! Most of all it takes courage to accept the changing thought patterns of the new generation!

More than the children it's the parents who thank surviving it!!

PEER PRESSURE PROBLEMS

Are you one of the parents struggling with peer pressure related problems. He's comparing every bit of his life with his friends. His friends, those you consider not that worthy.
You are ready to do anything to put him off that circle.
It's a stage that each one parent will have to come across.
There are skills which as parents we never focussed on....those that are powerful enough to prevent mishaps that we as parents fear the most.

1. Decision making
2. Priority setting
3. Time management
4. Controlling desires

Just think over it if our kids knew that friends are not forcefully hit on them like other relations and that we have a chance to make a choice whom to make a friend whom not to.....wouldn't they think before making friends.
If they knew the priorities, wouldn't they plan differently.
If they learnt to manage their time, wouldn't they balance friendships and knowledge assimilation.
If they knew how to control their desires wouldn't they choose more wisely and stop flowing in emotions. If they are not skilled to deal with their emotions how will they deal with their hormones...?

Problem is not the friends. Problem is the inefficiency of coping with the world. Problem is that parents thought that parenting skills were inborn and didn't need to be learnt.

NO MORE SCARY STROKES 1

Creativity is the charm of childhood. It's not about the skill or art structuring that attracts me; it's about the connection it can bring about between the parent and the child.
Messy spaces, wastage of paints, spilling of water, soiled clothes and a havoc at home makes it all so SCARY for the parents! Kids also don't learn as much at home as they do with a professional teacher. Parents are not skilled enough in art
Everything seems to argue in the favour of sending the child to a professional instead.
Here I'm not talking of the skill. I'm just talking of the connection it's capable of bringing about!
Strokes need not be that scary anymore! NO MORE SCARY STROKES is s serial post to give you tips on some whole some activities which are less messy and more manageable!
There's nothing that I prefer over the other! But today I'm talking of this WATER COLOUR CAKE that is too easy for small children!

These water colours are easy to use and cause little wastage!
I just love hand prints!

Using different colours on one palm works too beautiful!

Making stalks with finger pulp creates a personalised floral appearance!

Took no more than half an hour for three kids aged 3, 4 and 7!

By product of connection is the most wanted outcome!

POSITIVITY RECIPES 1

In an age where remaining positive is so tough for ourselves to follow, how do we instill positivity in our own kids? POSITIVITY RECIPES is a serial post to inspire and enlighten ways to a positive attitude!
Yesterday was another roughed up tired evening and as I sat lousily on my couch, my daughter, NITYA came and sat besides, with her all time sweet nothings! In the middle of everything she mentioned that she got FOUR wrongs in the dictation test that morning!
“How many rights dear?”
She sprung out and rushed for her notebook and counted the wrongs and said...
“ One, two , three and four.... FOUR wrongs!”
I insisted again
“ Count the ticked ones”
She started “ one two three.... thirteen rights, BUT mom FOUR wrongs! “
“ AND THIRTEEN RIGHTS” I said with reinforcing the RIGHTS!
She got puzzled...
“Ya, Last year I got only two wrongs so four wrongs are really a lot” trying to prove that her focus was on the right thing... WRONG!

Focus on the wrongs was the right thing for her!

“In any case NINE more rights than the wrongs!”
“So...” she said
I answered “So I mean you ‘THE NITYA’ are more capable than incapable!
And you want to say that ‘THE NITYA’ is incapable! “
Her look was all empty but receptive!

Then I asked her orally the spellings of the words that were right in her test. She said she knew them and more importantly we must learn the wrong ones.
“ I’m happy for the wrong ones because they are the ones you’ll remember for ever”

An oral dictation test again amidst the talk and all of them were right!
“Seventeen rights!”
Hidden but obvious cues was a signal to focus on what she had not on what she didn’t; on what she achieved not what she didn’t!
I’m waiting for another dictation test wish she comes up with her rights!
Number and percentages don’t matter because in her life her ATTITUDE will be the single most important factor influencing her happiness, success and zeal in life!
That’s exactly what I aim to assist her with...an AMAZING ATTITUDE of looking at the POSITIVES in life!

2018 NEW YEAR PARENTING TIP

The OLIVE GREEN tip for the parents this new year!

The most important part of life is CHANGE. No one can do away with it, since it keeps happening at its own pace and in its own way! Change is inevitable!
Experiences make us bitter, changes our outlook towards the world more negative than positive. We calculate all situations in a default mode and draw struggling inferences! This is how we are changing!
There is a way to monitor and control the wonderful process of change leading to better outcomes......an optimistic we, stronger we, balanced we and smoothening relationships, effective we!!!
It’s all a world of huge possibilities and we could metamorphose what we dislike and want to change to what we would love to be like!!!
OLIVE GREEN would surely post this wonderful magical way very soon!

USING A SCHOOL COMPETITION TO BUILD CONNECTION WITH YOUR CHILD

As a matter of fact any project or competition in school that needs parental involvement carries with it immense possibilities of connection building. So much so that connection building is all I aim for, winning a prize takes the back seat over the list of priorities!
The earlier we plan the better it is, since we have lots of time and can do away with panicking! However there also is a lot of learning doing things at the end moment. Especially it trains us ( both parents and children) for sprint! Cool mind, quick ideas, limited resources( since there’s no time to buy extra), a smart plan and quick action! It really gives me a kick! But truthfully, the results are devastating as connection building is lost over the counter, there’s no fun time while practicing and preparing, the child most likely forgets, the chances of winning are highly bleak! It’s way more lovely to plan and start early! You might not get the kick but
Just giving you an example, upcoming is a speech competition in my daughter’s school on the topic “One day in life as a mobile”!
As we sat casually I just asked her how it would be if she were a flower for one day. “No, I wouldn’t like being a flower. Anyone can pluck me off”
“Would there be something nice about being a flower?”
Quickly enough
“ ya! I would stay fresh all time, not needing bath nor going to school; that would be nice But still I don’t want to be so susceptible to be plucked....so overall a No, from my side”
Rejecting my proposal to be a flower!!
She insisted on my turn this time to think over and she asked me how it would be like to be a sun for a day!
I put across my scattered views!
The best part was that we were infusing the imagination with our feelings. It was such a fun.
Instead to writing a short speech and making her mug it up, I started it this ways! It was a wonderful start and I’m also waiting to watch what follows!
Nothing is as important in parenting as is building a strong parent-child connection! As I promote more talkings, more conversations, more sharing, more feelings I pray you enjoy the journey all way long..!!

DON’T DISMISS THE FEELINGS OF YOUR CHILD

It puts me in a state of self check as I share with you my latest realisation!
I realised how many times I simply refused to agree to what my daughter said she felt! She said she was sleepy and I reminded her with authority that she was not really sleepy, just a little tired!
She said she was hungry and I refuted saying that she just had sandwich!
She said she didn’t want to attend dance classes and I started reminding her everything she ever said and did to prove that she really liked dancing!
.....And the list can go so long!
Realisation was there and it demanded some substantial action! I appointed a part of my mind to keep a check on my responses! I am improving but it’s taking time! I’m curbing my desire to correct, advice and judge!
I realise all over again how this behaviour of mine can induce self doubt in her personality! I want her to stand for herself but my words are working towards making her realise that she is not capable of judging her feelings and can’t conclude her own state of mind!!!
Listening needs so much more practice and I’m practically working towards improving the same!
God bless you all with fabulous loving families, cherished memories and a bond that’s everlasting!

WOMANHOOD: WISDOM & COURAGE

This comes with a realised fact that parenting is way more about a woman than a man!!

A woman is simply beautiful. The way she's been made is really amazing. Not what is visible but that what is subtle that amazes me all the more. Two kinds of woman really impress me: one is the courageous Rani Laxmi bai of Jhansi and another is the sharp minded Mareena of Alibaba and 40 thieves!
More than being a woman, being a human impresses me all the more. Chanakya, Birbal and millions of stories of Panchtantra and various freedom fighters touch my core. I aspire to have a part of these immensely wise and courageous personalities in me.
But that doesn't stop me to look at the mirror...mirror that really reflected me, the whole of me!
In life it doesn't matter what cards you got; what really matters as what you made if it and how you played with it!
A part of wisdom that is important is to foresee the possible outcomes and act in ways to promote the favourable ones and to avoid the unfavourable ones.
Nothing beats wisdom!!
There ought to be a mirror that reflects wisdom within us, and we also need make up to accentuate the same!
Courage is instinctual as well as environmental!!! In my case it's completely a learned asset! I've been a coward all my childhood.
Many a times I used to hide my meekness behind my goodness, my incapabilities to answer back behind my patience and tolerance. One day I decided to go bare and realise for good how weak I am emotionally. I  needed that specific psycho-critical mirror that moment.
Realisation is the first step towards overcoming, fighting our own instincts, winning over them and a complete mental shift leading to surprising metamorphosis!
The new me was amazingly lovely, admirable and worthy of so much self boost! Courage is an asset! It is that kind of jewel that shines through personality.
There's lot more adorable aspects about being a woman, but courage and wisdom certainly sets you apart from the crowd! I wish I could have a mirror that reflected these aspects of ours!

A PINCH OF JUNK 3

As you all know " A pinch of Junk" is a serial post for all concerned mothers to restrict junk to just a pinch! All together abstinence from junk is neither possible nor recommended, at least in my view. I strictly follow 'no junk for rewards' principle and that's working great.
What's the latest in this regard is that my daughter and me worked on it and here's the summary of our treaty:
1. Night brushing is compulsory
2. Brushing soon after eating anything sweet that gets stuck in teeth
3. No junk will be the replacement of any meal
4. Junk will be over and above the routine meals
5. A list of junk with days tagged to them:
i) Monday - Sweets
ii) Tuesday- Chips
iii) Wednesday - Icecream
iv) Thursday - Burger
v) Friday - Cheesy Pizza
vi) Saturday - Any of the above
vii) Sunday - Any of the above
6. All days junk is not allowed, if it's Monday this week, it's Tuesday next week and so on!
7. Which day is a junk day in a particular week can also be decided by picking chits! There can be some chits that read "NIL" and some that read "TWO". All to make it interesting!
8. Travel allows junk of all kinds!
It's all about making rules and more importantly making a game out of it. It's a child's world after all.

7 WAYS TO ENJOY PARENTING

Parenting could be highly time consuming, patience testing and energy draining process! Here are some simple tips to enjoy parenting.

1.NO PUSHING PLEASE!
Don't push yourself too hard to become the best mom or dad of the world. Parenting demands from parents is high. Only positive energy and patience can help you perform your best in parenting.

2. QUALITY TIME!
Spend Quality time with children and do things that promote connection building. Parenting is about having a beautiful relation with your child while you nurture them.

3. CHOOSE YOUR COMPANY!
Drop those who keep cribbing over how miserable life is with kids, or after marriage. Try and find the company of people who appreciate the wonder of having a child.

4. GIVE YOURSELF SOME TIME!
Groom yourself well! Shed those extra pounds. Join your job. Go for holidays. Let love and sex return to you. It's still your life, that's going on!

5. STAY HONEST!
If you don't have time, money or kind do let them know. Always say bye to the child before going even though he might be crying at that time. Lying will only encourage him to lie to you in future and that will increase your trouble.

6. OPTIMISTIC & PROBLEM SOLVING MODE!
There's no problem you can't deal with and no solution that will stay hidden if you sincerely find it.

7. PARENTING CLASS!
They are going to make it all easier. Your very perspective with which you view your child and everything he does will change for better.

SIXTEEN STEPS TO FIND A MATCH FOR YOUR SON

Apparently, India is a country where parents have more dreams about their daughter in law than son would have for his wife. What so ever the case might be the truth is that marriage of your son is the last responsibility for the parents. For the son it's the beginning of a responsible life. Even though parents are the affected ones and their sons wedding is a part of their story, the bare truth is that it is the beginning of his (son's ) story. Here are some steps I consider appropriate for parents of all those who have not found out for themselves their lady love.
Step 1. Ask your son if he wants to get married and why.
Step 2. Let him know what is marriage all about!
Step 3. Let him know what he will have to give in it and what all can he expect.
Step 4. Let him know that he will have to continuously work on it.
Step 5. Ask him to describe the kind of wife he would like to spend his whole
life with. The description should be as elaborate as possible.
Step 6. Ask him to write the characteristics point wise and in order of priority.
Step 7. Ask him what are the absolute NO NO for him!
Step 8. Ask him to write the negatives in a girl that he'll be okay with.
Step 9. After all this mechanical homework tell him that it's very much possible to have immense love in an arranged marriage. Love is quite a possibility.
Step 10. Ask your son to make a profile shortlisting basis.....the basis on which you will keep or reject profiles without meeting/ talking.
Step 11. Exchange of profiles.... Give yours and fetch a number of profiles from various marriage bureaus, newspapers or shaadi.com etc.
Step 11. Short list the profiles using your profile shortlisting basis.
Step 12. Ask your son to make a Talk shortlisting basis......the basis on which you will keep or reject profiles after talking.
Step 13. Short list the profiles after talking.
Step 14. Do your homework befor you meet the girl party.
Step 15. Meet
Step 16. Decide
All these steps need further description which will come in time to come!

TEEN TWISTS: FEARS OF THE TEENAGER'S PARENTS

All of us are aware how difficult teenage can be with number of things to be balanced - career building, personality development, ideology setting, out burst of hormones and a young soul over confident, impulsive and secretive who resists all kinds of interference. We as parents often get overwhelmed with the situation....some of us act like CID, others feel tempted to give their suggestions, some of us argue with them and set some rules which they must follow!
The peer pressure is high and the young revolutionary doesn't seem to be controlled. News papers are filled with mishappenings with other teenagers. Here we are all worried that everything goes well and there this carefree teenager is totally carefree and all set to fly high, dive deep and take risk!
In a bid to protect them from harm we risk something very precious and take away from them something that really could help them from drowning, falling and getting hurt!
These are the important questions for my readers that I wish to ask:
Q.1. What is that something very precious that we risk in a bid to protect our teenagers?
Q.2. What is it that we take away from them that could help them?
Answers shall follow very soon as

ORGANIC FERTILIZERS FOR LOVE TO FLOURISH

I will list these for the ease of these:-
1. Both partners should be willing to work on their relationship.
2. Working on a relationship doesn't mean that it's bad, it only means that it's important for both of you and you are eager to flourish it.
3. It's important to know oneself and what we expect from our partner.
4. It's wise to remember that our partner is another individual and may not do what we expect of him/her, and that doesn't mean that he/ she doesn't love us.
5. Giving space to each other helps to go a long way.
6. It's important to know what the other expects of us.
7. It's not necessary to fulfil all demands and expectations of our loved one.
8. Know what leads to CHAOS in a relationship:
Choice of words improper + Handling impatient + Aggressive tone of voice + Other is to blame + Short temper = CHAOS!
9. Know what CHAOS can lead to in a relationship:
CHAOS = Connection hampered + Hurt feelings + Aloofness  + Out of control situation + Sad story!
10. We can and must train ourselves to use respectable words.
11. Situations usually demand patience!
12. Tone of voice must be under continuous monitoring.
13. Pointing at each other is not going to solve any issue.
14. Angry birds destroy their own nests..... Temper can be immensely detrimental to a relationship.
15. Connection building should be given importance.
16. Feelings must not be held back.
17. Shelling ourselves aloof will only distance us from each other.
18. Reassure yourself that all situations can be controlled if we wish to put efforts in right direction.
19. Sad story can be converted to a happy one anytime because it's not only your story but also because you are the author of your story.
20. Remember that a bad conversation is million times better than no communication!
God bless you with beautiful relationships and loving families!

LOVE BETWEEN PARENTS IS IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN

I just read somewhere that the best thing a father can do to her daughter is to love her mom! Smart justification of our desires!
Well dads out there, if your daughter sees you loving her mom then she knows that love exists and that true love is not only in stories but also in real life....and that's how she automatically gets ready to create a happy home for herself once she grows.
The logic is simple but big!
We all know that children with problem families are more likely to make and have a problematic relationship. So we try not to be a problem family. Convincing enough!
It's really nice that we all know what NOT to do!
It's high time we focus on what we need to do.....! We need to have a happy family so that she has a happy home! Here are some points to be noted...
1. One of the wonderful things that we as parents can offer our children is an example of true love between the two of us.
2. True love does happen, it's difficult to make it happen!
3. We need to work on our love and relationship to keep it going, lustrous, shining and growing?
4. Working on it doesn't mean that we need to pose ourselves or do things just for the sake of it.
5. We can be ourselves, in fact we need to be ourselves to have a successful relationship.
6. Love needs organic fertilisers to flourish!
" Organic fertilisers for love to flourish" is going to be my next blog ....it's coming soon .....almost back to back.

SIBLING LOVE: PARENTS HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY

Hi friends, I've been busy with kids all this while and there is loads that I learnt in the process. I am desperately waiting to put every small lesson out here for you guys!
Love and understanding between any two individuals is more a business of the two; how could a third person ever increase love and understanding between two people. The mechanics of a relationship is more or less the same, no matter how old or young the age is. However there are certain parental behaviours that favour sibling love and others that don't.
There's probably a lot that parents can do to promote sibling love!
It's a good idea to inculcate " the desire to have a sibling" in the first child before even planning the next child!
Connection building can begin as soon as we conceive our second child!
Selecting words and behaviours that promote sibling love, especially while scolding the elder one!
Get physical in your expression of love....touch is magical!
We'll do each of these steps and many more in details and one by one to get a practical picture as to HOW it needs to be reached and accomplished!
Wait my dear friends for my next blog!

Success of "Skills over wills"

The four day bolus course was amazing for the kids as well as for me!
Gratitude seemed to seep into the kids.
Whenever virat gets cranky over a small hurt or being hungry or anything all his mother needs to do is remind him "Is he Khusi Ram(happy fellow) or Dukhi Ram(sad fellow)?" He knows how Khushi Ram reacts in every situation. Infact the Khushi Ram Dukhi Ram Roleplay has so deeply soaked into the kids that they really know its effective application.
I remember we were going out for an outing and for some reasons we got little late. My hubby got really bugged up waiting and seeing his plans not taking shape.... He was really irritated, continuously throwing words that elaborated his annoyance. Naisha very sneakily made a statement "Thank you God for not making us very late"
The whole scenario changed! Mohit hugged her and we enjoyed the time that was left! It is so wonderful to note how perspective can be changed and really worse conditions can be enjoyed! How a small child can do that deliberately and not just by chance! If one can make a statement that can turn the sorrow and complains into joy and gratitude...how powerful that statement would be and how powerful would that person be!
Attitude is made by practice! It is a learned behaviour. Attitude of Gratitude bolus was very strong!

MILKY WAY......Drinking milk made easy!

Milky Way is the whole galaxy that conspires with you in your efforts to make your child drink milk!

Hey moms all we are going to do is practicing to put facts to practical use. So first I mention a fact and then the how about...fine!
1. Children do what their parents do!
Do you drink milk with your kids? Sip by sip, enjoying, competing (who finishes first) talking about milk, it's benefits, it's origin and where from!
2. Children do what they enjoy, they seek fun in life !
A four year can make shakes in the mixer. A beautiful milk book, milk table, milk accessories (tumblers, straw, coffee, bournvita, horlicks, crushed almonds, muesli, corn flakes, chocos, wheat flakes, fresh fruits, lovely saucer bowls and colouring his favourite cartoon drinking milk ). Get innovative ladies it's time we made Milky Way the most interesting one.
3. Children love changes!
Have a new Milky Way each time, a new way at least 7 of them, each can be repeated twice and then changed....club each way with days of a weak! Wow, and then repeat it over! It's not a headache.... It's fun. It's challenge!
4. Children love to choose and behave like elders!
Be smart... Give customised choices!
Diya: I am hungry
Mom: ya honey please let me know: cold milk, hot milk or room temperature milk?
Okay with all; then pick up one chit out of these three! Or club them with days of the week or odd/even number of dates...or.... It's always the princess who decides!!!
She decides which kind of milk( there's no option of having no milk)
5. Children don't like to be forced into anything!
Avoid: sentences that are forceful. Like: " you have to drink milk anyways"
(Child feels like a slave, let alone a princess)
Drinking milk is a rule of the house! She has to drink milk anyways; I'm just asking you not to be vocal about it!
It's not yet over! Wait for  "Milky Way 2"!!
